A recent missing dog rescue was more like a magic trick. But instead of pulling a rabbit out of a hat, the "magician" pulled the dog out of a bramble.

Jodie Dance of Warwickshire, England, was strolling with her cocker spaniels Bow and Bella when the dogs ran off together. But only Bella returned.

Panicked, Jodie searched relentlessly for her beloved pup. However, by nightfall, she'd had no luck and took to the internet, hoping Bow had been spotted.

Five days passed, then a jogger heard anguished barking coming from a bramble-covered embankment about a mile from where Bow went missing.

Drone search and rescue operator John Watton of Drone SAR For Lost Dogs UK took over and used thermal imaging to spot the source of the bark.

And there, under six feet of bramble, was Bow!

Footage caught Jodie and her friends hacking through the wilderness with hedge trimmers to save her stranded pet.

"To be honest, I was nearly blubbering," said Jodie.

Thankful to be reunited with her owner, Bow made a full recovery, all thanks to the magic of a kind jogger and a heat-seeking drone.
